Metal Gear Solid: FIGHT OF THE METAL GEARS at SAGE 2010!

UPDATE: If you have already downloaded the demo and the cutscenes do not work, this is because the video is encoded using XVID, a free open source codec. You can download it from here. The download has since been updated to include the codec within the package.

Those of you who frequent my site, The Snake Soup, should already know what the hell this is all about, but for those of you who are completely clueless, I’ll explain. Metal Gear Solid: FIGHT OF THE METAL GEARS is a fanfiction-fangame based off of the Metal Gear Solid: Fight of Metal Gears fanfiction series by squirrelking. It stars Jake Snake, Solid Snake’s son, who has to now defeat “all of the bad guys in the world” once his father is killed in a tragic missile collision.

SAGE, the Sonic Amateur Game Expo, is an online exposition of independent games run by different members of the Sonic the Hedgehog fan community every year. Obviously most of the exposition showcases Sonic the Hedgehog related fangames, but other fangames and original titles are welcome as well. So I decided to get FIGHT OF THE METAL GEARS a “booth” at this year’s SAGE.

Check it out to see new screenshots, a trailer and even a playable demo! While the demo I released on April 1st was purposely made unplayable, this is the real deal and it is exclusively made available through KPN’s Downloads section!
