RUMOR: Castlevania Lords of Shadow box art and release date revealed?

It’s a generic CG render of the male protagonist wearing a skirt. It’s got a whip. It’s got fucking bats everywhere. It’s… not the final box art. This along with a supposed release date of October 2010 was posted by a site called Electric Theater. The site has since “corrected” it’s post claiming that Konami has contacted them to let them know that the box art is temporary.

They’re right. It is temporary, according to producer David Cox. But the hipsters at Konami have told Eurogamer that the supposed October 2010 release date is bullshit as well, saying it’s just “speculation.” Considering that October 2010 would put Lords of Shadow against the likes of Halo Reach and… wow they’re already making a new Assassin’s Creed… my point is that there will be lots of competition and maybe Konami doesn’t want to risk dropping this in the middle of October. However, it only seems appropriate to have this title ready by Halloween.
